Annabelle Hanging Gifts

My card today features some gorgeous pink papers that I've been saving for a time when I needed to get myself motivated.  I've not been feeling very positive about some of my recent creations so needed a bit of a boost.  Well it seems that a pink and girlie card is just what I needed.  I'm really pleased with this one, probably because it uses lots of my favourite things: pink, glitter, ribbon, flowers, pearls and my favourite pearl brad.  Hopefully this is a turning point and I'll be back on track again!

I hope you like my creation.

Annabelle Hanging Gifts

I've got a traditional coloured Christmas card to share today featuring Annabelle from Wild Rose Studio. I've used some non-festive backing papers, but I think the colours are the perfect green for Christmas.  I've edged the card with some green ink and distressed the image panel a bit.

Annabelle Hanging Gifts

Yup, we're still in Christmas mode at the moment, but today I've used some gorgeous papers which are not really festive, but look kind of 'frosty'!  The beautiful aqua papers are so pretty that it seemed such a tragedy to cover them up with 'stuff'!

I kept all the embellies either white or pale blue so they continued the frosty theme, and liberally sprinkled glitter in the snowy areas, as well as some pretty lace and pearls.

I really like this colour scheme for Christmas, and it makes a nice change from traditional reds and greens.

Hanging Gifts

Hi all,
I have a Christmas card to show you today using a Wild Rose Studio image called ‘Hanging Gifts’. I have to admit that my New Year’s resolution to make my Christmas cards early this year has, so far, been put on the back burner and it did feel very strange making a Christmas card with the window wide open and the sun streaming in…but hopefully, this will be the first of many Christmas cards to come!

As if this wasn’t enough of a challenge in itself, I also challenged myself to design a card that would fit through the Post Office ‘gadget thingy’…I think the official term is a ‘size template’! Increases in UK postal charges are going to mean that, for many of us, multiple layers and very dense card embellishments will need to be kept to a minimum this year in order to fit through the size template, so over the next few months, I shall be testing out some different designs using just stamped images, dies and very few embellishments...I’ll let you know how I go on!

Here's a close up coloured with copics:

We always love it when customers send us photos of projects…it’s really so good to see what you make with the orders that we send out! So, if any of you come up with any Christmas card designs that will fit through the size template, we’d love to hear from you…please e-mail your photos to us…or better still, share them on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Stamp-Basket/279498328811208

…and if you’re not sure how to load them, please e-mail, we’ll be only too happy to help!

In the meantime, don’t forget our special promotion on Wild Rose Studio products this week (and other crafting goodies, too!)…and please, do spread the word so that your family, neighbours and friends can benefit from the special offers, too!
Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Hugs,
Janet xx

Hanging Gifts

It's Annette here today and yes, I know it's gone Christmas but I'm sharing another Chrimbo card today.  This one uses the reverse of my red and white ornaments border die that I shared last weekend, and I think the white and red looks really effective.

Hanging Gifts

Hi all,
I have a contemporary card to show you today using an image from the latest Wild Rose Studio Christmas Collection called ‘Hanging Gifts’....such a special time and always full of fond memories…

I decided on a contemporary card this time and thought the gorgeous, subtle shades of colour in the Magnolia Sweet Crazy Love Collection papers were just right!

The snowflakes have been made using two of the four dies that come in the Spellbinders Snowflake Pendant set which have been glitzed with stickles! The smallest flake has been layered on the Memory Box Corner Bow…this die produces such lovely delicate die-cuts, nicely filling two corners of this project, and just perfect for enhancing so many Christmas or other special occasion projects!

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Wild Rose Studio ‘Hanging Gifts’ (on special offer with 10% off until 9-00a.m. Wednesday)

Don't forget there is a special offer on over at The Stamp Basket on all Wild Rose Studio products including papers, printed panels and stamps...up to 25% off until 9-00a.m. GMT Wednesday morning!!

...AND some more exciting news before I go...the new release of Saturated Canary stamps will be on pre-order at The Stamp Basket tomorrow...and they are fab-u-lous!
I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Big hugs,

Janet xx
