Cherry Blossom Baggie

Hello everyone, it's Annette here again today, but because I've still not been feeling 100% lately (still recovering from that nasty flu bug that's been going around), I've not managed to get a card made for today.  However, I do have another little project to share with you.

The Stamp Basket stocks the gorgeous Saturated Canary rubber stamps and I've been playing with one of my favourites from the new release which is Cherry Blossom.  I've stamped it onto a cotton baggie and coloured it with mainly purple marker pens. I added some sparkly accent with Sakura Stardust gel pens, and then decorated it with matching purple embellishments.

Colouring on the cotton is really difficult as the ink spreads out over the fibres, but I don't think she's turned out too bad.

Hopefully you will agree....

I've sewn ribbon around the top edge, added a crocheted flower with a button centre, a couple of die cuts and some liquid pearls.

Here's a close up of the image. You'll see the ink did run quite a lot, but it has still made a pretty little gift bag.

Cherry Blossom

Hello everyone.

It's Annette with you today to share a card I've made.  I really adore this new Saturated Canary stamp called Cherry Blossom.

Last time I coloured her in purple, and this time I've used yellow and green.  Green isn't a colour which I'm usually keen on, but I love these yellow and green papers so I've coloured her to match them.

I've stitched all the panels onto kraft coloured shimmer card and chalked some clouds behind the image.

Elf Maya and Kitty Writing Santa's List

It's Annette here again, and for those of you who visited yesterday, I promised a real cutie today, and I think I have to say that this card is one of my favourites this year.  The image is Elf Maya & Kitty writing Santa's List from The Stamp Basket.

I'm not sure whether it is the pretty papers, cute image, rich chocolatey colours (they are chocolate brown not black by the way), simple layout, fab dies or just that the whole card seems to encompass everything that is my style.

Oh dear, I really sound like I'm blowing my own trumpet here, but this was just one of those cards that I looked at when I'd finished and I thought "I'd like to keep this one"!

Hopefully you all know what I'm trying to say, and I hope you have had more of those types of cards than I seem to have had, as opposed to my mojo going AWOL whenever I sit down to craft.

Anyhoo, before I drivel on and bore you silly (too late, huh!) here's my card ...

Gardening Fun

Hi,
I hope you are having a good weekend! I have a card to show you today that has been made to wish fathers everywhere a Happy Father’s Day! The image, which is currently in the sale at The Stamp Basket online store, is from Stampavie and is called ‘Gardening Fun’....designer Penny Johnson certainly makes it look fun with all the little helpers on board!

The sentiment on the tag is from the Tina Wenke ‘With love’ stamp set – I just love this set – it’s so versatile, with sentiments suitable for all occasions...and it's also, on special offer at the moment at The Stamp Basket!

The gorgeous background papers are from the Prima ‘Nature Garden’ pad…just so apt for the image! This really is a beautiful pad of paper whether ‘dressed up’ or ‘dressed down’, and can be used to enhance a project or stand alone to speak for themselves as in some of the cards that Kerry‘s made recently. The good news is, this pad, along with a range of other gorgeous Prima pads, is also in the sale over at The Stamp Basket...so if you've not already done so, why not pop over and take a look...there are lots of bargains to be had!

Now to my dies...I’ve used a range of dies on this card…the Whimsy Corner die set; Memory Box Macarena Corner and Memory Box Nestled Bird cut from the background papers…this is such a sweet, subtle little die which I think adds a lovely detail to outdoor style projects!

Well, that's all from me for today...thanks for stopping by and I do hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Sophia Wishes

Happy Easter Monday. I hope you are enjoying the long weekend. It's Marianne here with my second guest designer card. I was asked to choose two images from the new Sarah Kay stamps and what a job that was. They are so gorgeous. You can find the whole range here at the Stamp Basket.

I have used the gorgeous Sophia Wishes. I love the old fashioned look of these images and decided to colour her in brown tones to tie in with the beautiful Prima Nature Garden papers. I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink on the paper and image and also on the chalk white seam binding. This seam binding is lovely as it is but can also be coloured with alcohol pens or Distress Inks to match your project. The corners were made using a Memory Box Macarena Corner Die.

Thanks for looking and enjoy shopping at The Stamp Basket

Annabelle's Meadow

Good morning everyone, Marianne here with my first guest designer card for April. I am so pleased to be here and to have been given the opportunity to work with these beautiful products.

My card today features one of the gorgeous Annabelle's Meadow panels from Wild Rose. I have teamed it with paper from the same range and used Tattered Rose Distress Ink around the edges of both to add to the soft look. I've topped it off with some blue sheer ribbon, Hobby House pearls, Prima flowers and a pearl brad. The scrolls behind the flower were made by die cutting using a Memory Box Macarena die and then cutting them in half. I've then finished with some die cut butterflies using another Memory Box die.

You can find all of these products including the Craftwork cards card blank at The Stamp Basket.

Keep checking back every day for more cards from the Design Team and it will be my pleasure to bring you another creation next Monday.
