Christmas Teddies

When I was deciding what to make for The Stamp Basket DT this week, I was feeling kinda chilly, so that might be why I settled for these cosy little bears, all snuggled up and warm together!

Ingredients available from The Stamp Basket store
Wild Rose Studio stamp - Christmas Teddies (in the Sale now)
Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap, Tattered Rose, Victorian Velvet, Dusty Concord, Faded Jeans, Weathered Wood
First Edition paper pad - Silent Night (I only used the cream tones)
Ranger Ink Blending Tool (for the Frayed Burlap edges)
Sorry Janet, but the sentiment is from my stash - that's me sacked on week two!

Warm hugs to all

Christmas Teddies

Hello and welcome to the blog today. Edna here with my card for this week
and I've chosen this gorgeous group of teddies from Wild Rose Studio to play with!

Stamp - Wild Rose Studio - Christmas Teddies
Papers - Teresa Collins - Christmas Cottage
Dies - Memory Box - Frostyville wreathFrostyville border
Ribbon - red satin
Pearls - 5mm snow white
Pearl brads - snow white
Gems - clear
Sentiment - Molly Bloom - Happy Christmas
Art Institute crystal glitter

The image is coloured with Promarkers (PM) and Copics (C)
Bears - Putty (C), Pastel beige, satin (PMs)
Mummy bears hat and scarf - Sand, Chamois, Light Walnut (Cs)
Dad's scarf - Burnt Sienna, Walnut, Umber (PMs)
Baby bears hat and scarf - Burgundy, Berry Red, Poppy Red (PMs)

The texture on the teddy bears is achieved by dotting some drops of blending solution onto a piece of cheesecloth (you could use gauze) and dabbing it over the sections you want to look 'furry'. I usually do this after colouring in teddies or dogs etc and before I add the other colours. Allow the blending solution to dry thoroughly before you continue colouring. :)

A sideways view to show the layers

I hope you enjoy today's card as much as I enjoyed making it.

Christmas Teddies

Hi everyone. It's Annette here today with a card using a sweet image from The Stamp Basket called Christmas Teddies.  This is the second time I've used this image, and instead of colouring them like polar bears as I did last time, I've coloured them in pale browns and creams.  I think they look cute with their dark paw pads.  I've coloured their scarves to match the backing papers which are Noah's Ark.  The papers are not especially Christmassy, but the daisies on them really seemed to match the snowflakes on the Memory Box Snowflake Corner die so I think they're fine.

I've done some stitching around the backing panel and image but you can only really see it clearly on the image panel.

It is there.

Honest!

Christmas Teddies

It's Annette here with today's card using a sweet image from Wild Rose Studio called Christmas Teddies.  These little bears are adorable and I've coloured them white, like polar bears in the snow, but they could be brown teddy bears too.

I'm also loving these Memory box scroll dies too, this one is just gorgeous in red, as is the huge poinsettia which I've dotted with a bit of liquid pearls and given a bit of accent with my copics just marking the seams of the leaves and petals.
