Kitty's Picnic

Hi everyone. I hope you are enjoying your weekend! I have a card to show you today, using an image from one of the Wild Rose Studio Printed Panel packs…definitely a great craft store cupboard stand-by for making those last minute cards!! This cute image is called Kitty’s Picnic and is one of the four designs (two of each printed panel plus four outlines) included in the pack...all I needed to do was add a bit of stickles glitz...and voila!

The paper that I have used is also from by the Wild Rose Studio Annabelle’s Meadow Collection and the sentiment is from the Wild Rose Studio Circle Greetings set.

I've had a lovely time playing with a range of dies on this card! The border is a Magnolia Doohickey ‘Sweet Lovely Lace’ which is on special offer this weekend. The cute little dragonfly is a Memory Box die called ‘Willow Dragonfly’...whilst I do like my butterfly dies, these dragonfly dies (Memory box have produced two of differing sizes with the new release) do add something a little bit different!

The sentiment frame has been made using the Whimsy ‘Elegant Notables 1’ die….and my two favourite dies of the moment (Memory Box Dancing Tulips and Tulip Petals) were used to create the flower and leaves. The Dancing Tulips die can be used independently, as Kerry did on her card earlier in the week, or teamed up with the Tulip Petals for a bigger bloom. Before I started, I wondered if it was going to be very fiddly sticking the four petal bits together, but I have to say, if you follow the four-staged picture on the packaging, it comes together very easily!

The pearls are from our new range by the Hobby House – if you’ve not had chance to check them out yet, do pop over to the store. We are trialling four colours at the moment – ivory, snow white, wedding day and liking lilac…so, please let us know what you think!
Recipe:
Papers: Wild Rose Studio Annabelle’s Meadow Printed Panels; Wild Rose Studio Annabelle’s Meadow 6 x 6 paper pack
Thanks for stopping by and I do hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Saturday Afternoon at The Stamp Basket

Hi everyone - I hope you are enjoying your weekend and are not snowed in where you live! The countryside looks so beautiful when there is a fresh fall of snow but brrr…it’s so cold!

I have a card to show you today using another of my favourite images from the Magnolia Sweet Crazy Love collection called ‘Rose Scent Tilda’. The sentiment has been made using a very versatile little stamp from Molly Blooms!

Here's a close up of Tilda coloured with copics:

The heart die is from the new Memory Box release and no guesses for the border...my favourite Magnolia die of the moment!  The flower has been made from Magnolia vintage paper using a combination of dies: the new Memory Box 'scalloped posie' and the Magnolia 'flower'...and then glittered with stickles!

      Card Recipe:

All products used are available at The Stamp Basket

Tools: Memory Box 'Grand Heart’ die; Memory Box 'Scalloped Posie'; Magnolia 'Sweet Lovely Lace'; Magnolia 'Flowers'; Magnolia Leaf and Swirl (please e-mail to order leaf and swirl)

Lots of Love...

Hi everyone and a happy Monday! I do hope that you are managing to stave off all the winter bugs that seem to be around at the moment…and also, keeping warm...talking of which, who made a snowman at the weekend???

Had I tuned into the weather forecast earlier last week, I might have made a card for today using a ‘Molly with Sledge’ image, ‘Snowball George’, Pickle Skating’ or Fizzy Moon ‘Snow’ ....much more apt for today, given the sub-arctic conditions outside!! Instead, I have a card to show you using one of the new Magnolia stamps ‘Tilda with Wrapped Heart’. I really enjoyed colouring the image on this card and used one of my favourite colour combinations…

I’ve used a couple of the new Memory Box heart dies and one of the new Magnolia Doohickey border dies…as you know, one of my favourites, too! Here’s a close up of the 'Sweet Lovely Lace' border…

                Card Recipe:
Stamp: Magnolia 'Tilda with Wrapped Heart'

Tools: Memory Box ‘Serafina Heart’ and ‘Cupid Heart’ dies; Magnolia Doohickey 'Sweet Lovely Lace' die; Martha Stewart Double Punch Monarch Butterfly Punch (please e-mail to order)

Thanks for stopping by…enjoy the rest of your week!

Hugs,

Janet xx

Saturday Afternoon at The Stamp Basket

Good Afternoon! I do hope you are keeping nice and warm today…brrr, how the weather has changed but, when all said and done, the countryside did look so pretty this morning with its heavy dusting of frost!!

The card I have to show you today uses one of the new Magnolia images available in our on-line store called Tilda Loves Flowers. I do so love the new Sweet Crazy Love collection - there are so many lovely stamps to choose from, and many are classic designs that you are going to be able to use again and again…so well worth the outlay!

The co-ordinating papers that I have used are also from the new Magnolia collection – a gorgeous blend of soft, muted shades with a Parisienne influence. I’ve also used one of the new Magnolia ‘Sweet Lovely Lace’ dies – and it is just what it says, sweet and lovely, so you will be seeing this a lot more from now on, as me likey!! The 'limoges' ribbon is from our vintage style range – these ribbons feel gorgeous and fold beautifully - particularly great for shabby chic projects!
