Tilly with Present

I've not used this image for a while, but it is one I do love because I like Tilly's face peeking around the present!  It's safe to say it's well and truly purple, but I've used some white to break it up, with the die cut and lace.

The cream vintage style ribbon can be coloured with copics to make it any colour needed to match a colour scheme, and because it's a really soft fabric, it makes a lovely double bow without too much bulk.

Bella with Flowers

Inspired by the softly coloured papers, I've tried a bit of a new colouring technique, where I've used a really light touch with my markers, trying to create some really soft shading.  Bella's turned out a bit more pale than I'd originally intended, but I do quite like the flowers.

Bella with Flowers

I'm really loving these beautiful papers from Wild Rose Studio and today have teamed them up with one of their older images of Bella the heffalump!

I've also used some of the new Wild Rose Studio dies, but am not sure about the bright yellow I've used.  I wanted it to look spring-like but wish I'd toned the brightness down a bit now.

Brace yourself ... I hope you're wearing your sun glasses!

Spring Bringer

Morning everyone,

I have a birthday card to show today using one of the gorgeous Sylvia Zet images by Whimsy called ‘Spring Bringer’ which I‘ve teamed with the pretty vintage style Basic Grey ‘Mint Julep’ papers.

I’ve used two of the new dies from the new Wild Rose Studio Spring Woodland Collection: the gorgeous ‘Oval Frame’ which was just the right size for this image and the ‘Leafy Branch’ which adds a lovely corner flourish to the flowers. These dies cut so beautifully and make card designing very easy, too!

                                                Card Recipe:

Stamps: Whimsy ‘Spring Bringer’
Papers: Basic Grey ‘Mint Julep’ (currently in the sale)
Pens: Copics
Thanks for stopping by.
Hugs,

Mariella

Morning everyone,
I have a card to show today that doubles up as both a Mother’s Day card and a birthday card.

I’ve used the delightful image by Crafter’s Companion called ‘Mariella’ which I‘ve teamed with pretty Wild Rose Studio ‘Flights of Fancy’ papers.

The lettering of ‘Mum’ has been stamped using Papermania ‘Vintage Notes - Sentiments’. Both of these stamps and the papers are currently available in our Spring sale!
The image has been coloured with copics

I’ve used two of the new dies from the new Wild Rose Studio Spring Woodland Collection for this card: the gorgeous ‘Leafy Branch’ and the ‘Corner Flourish’ – in fact, two corner flourishes which I’ve joined together!

The flower and leaves have been made using the Memory Box Norrland Flower and Fabulous Flox.
Both have been coloured with copics.

The single large butterfly is a Memory Box 'Vivienne Butterfly' die-cut and the 'Butterfly Border' is by Joy Crafts!

Squirrel on Branch

Today is my first play with the new Wild Rose Studio Bluebell images, and I have to say, they are CUTE.

I particularly like this one with Bluebell looking at the little squirrel on the branch, and wanted to use this image to make a card for a special friend who's been a real rock for me recently.  ;0)

I coloured the image to match the pretty new Wild Rose Studio papers, and even the hubster was looking at the papers saying how much he liked them.  Now that is a first!

To top of the WRS hat trick I've also used one of their new dies, and chalked the flowers in purple and leaves in green, to match the papers.  Because the papers are quite detailed, I didn't want to hide them up with lots of embellishments (plus the recipient is a bit of a C&S kind of gal) so I just added a bit of natural coloured twine (which I coloured with the wedge end of a purple marker), and secured it around a purple button.

The button actually looks really pale in the photo because the light is shining off it, but it's actually a bit darker in real life.  A little trio of purple pearls and some pale green liquid pearls on the die and image finished it off.
