I couldn't resist this super cute hedgehog stamp!

The mortar board and scroll were paper pieced, mounted onto foam pads and edged with a Tsukeniko Memento black marker pen - hard to tell in the photos!

Floating Down the River

Hi all,
I have a card to show you today using the lovely new Dovecraft ‘Curiosity Corner’ papers. This paper pack is absolutely fabulous and such good value with 72 sheets – 6 sheets of 12 designs. If you like vintage, you’ll love these…The cute image, called ‘Floating Down the River’, is a Stampavie stamp.

As this is a male card, I’ve kept it very simple using the Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page ‘Cherish’ punch, Memory Box ‘Summer Kites’ dies and added a computer generated sentiment cut using a Spellbinders Nested Lacey Pennant die.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day!

Wonderful Whale

I've been playing with my Wonderful Whales die again today, but have something completely different to share using them this time.  Instead of the mobile that I created earlier in the week, I've made a card today.  I was going to add a sentiment 'Have a Whale of a Time' but in the end I couldn't decide where to put it, so I left it out!  Perhaps I can put it inside!

These little whales are so cute, and I love them with the googly eyes, although you could draw the eyes on instead.  They look great on a kid's card.  This card was really simple to make too, just die cuts and a bit of colouring, because apart from the sun and oceana border, everything else was die cut in plain white card which I coloured with Copics.

Let's go fly a kite

My card today features Sun Kissed from The Stamp Basket, and she's currently on sale, as are the beautiful papers which are Magnolia and I'm sooo in love with them.  These are the Cloudy Purple Hearts, but I also have the pink and turquoise hearts which are my favourite. They're so pretty and subtle.  I tried to match the colours of my image to the papers to bring it all together.

The die cuts are all white to maintain the pale colouring, and I've used a Pine Needle Border and a couple of Summer Kites.  There's a piece of lace in there too, between the kites and the flowers, but it's quite pale so you have to have your specs on to see it!

Dad Balloons

Hi all,
I have a Father’s Day card to show you today that I made recently using this adorable cute teddy stamp from Wild Rose Studio called ‘Dad Balloons’…aw! The gorgeous papers are Bo Bunny ‘Surprise’ - papers for male cards are quite often in blues and browns but this pad is just the ticket for bringing a big ray of  sunshine into Father’s Day and of course, will be so suitable for other special occasion cards too!

Whimsical Windmill

It's Annette with you today, and I'm sharing a card that's a bit different from my usual pink, purple or aqua style.

I'm not usually keen on yellow, but I've tried to venture outside of my comfort zone as this seemed to be a summery kind of image, perfect for a summer birthday (since we're in June already!).

The bright yellow accents were inspired by the fun papers.
