Reindeer Flying

Is it a bird, or a plane?  Well no, actually it isn't, and it isn't Superman either!  Morning all, welcome to Wednesday and my DT day with The Stamp Basket.

In case you hadn't spotted them yet, the delicious Wild Rose Studio Christmas stamps (and soon the new dies and papers - on preorder now) are in stock so I have been having a happy play with one of them.

Ingredients for this card which are available from The Stamp Basket store are:
Ink & Medium: Memento Tuxedo Black and

From my stash: sentiment

For the background on this one, I stamped the Reindeer, made a mask (we lost a hoof and half an antler during the cutting out!) and then with DI pads of Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot I got inky with a big stiff bristled brush.  The little stars I did with a punch and the masking paper.  Which was fine until I inked over them and then couldn't find them to peel them off!

Hugs to all, Squirrel xx

Squirrel on Branch

I've used one of my favourite images from the recent release of Bluebell the deer images from Wild Rose Studio today.  Although I do love our native red squirrels, since I'd coloured the deer brown, I prefer to have some variety in fur colours on the squirrel.  So he's grey!  (only 3 shades though, not 50).

I've teamed it with some of my favourite Magnolia papers, and yet another double bow!  I'm getting a bit addicted to those, but these vintage style ribbons are perfect as they don't make the knot too bulky.

Bluebell with Hedgehog

Hi all,
I couldn’t resist making another birthday card with one of the fabulous new Wild Rose Studio stamps and papers!

This image is the adorable Bluebell with her little friend hedgehog – so cute! I love this new collection of stamps and the new paper pads, too – the ones I’ve used here are from the ‘Bluebell’ pack.

I just can’t get enough of the new WRS dies, too! Today’s card uses three: ‘Bluebell’, ‘Floral Frame’ (two dies) and the flower from the ‘Oval Frame’ die set.

Here's a close up of the trellis:

Mouse on Bluebell

I'm in pinky-purple mode today with a pretty new WRS image matched with some of their newly released dies.

This little mouse is a real sweetie too, swinging by on a bluebell to deliver his present.  The card is actually quite flat too, because even though I have popped on a double bow, it is tied in vintage seam binding style ribbon, plus I left the clothes peg (that I use to hold on the bow while the glue dries) a bit too long (overnight!) so it flattened the knot really well!

Bluebell with Hedgehog

Hi all,
I couldn’t resist making a birthday card with one of the fabulous new Wild Rose Studio stamps and papers! This image is the adorable Bluebell with her little friend hedgehog! I love this new collection of stamps and the new paper pads, too – this one, appropriately named ‘Bluebell’ is full of gorgeous lilacs, and purples…our Netty is going to love it!

I’ve kept the design simple for this card to show off the image and pretty papers.

Stamps: Wild Rose Studio ‘Bluebell with Hedgehog’

Embellishments: 4mm snow white pearls
