Hokey Pokey

I have used some of my favourite things on my creation today to ease my mojo back from it's recent absence.  I've stamped my image onto Stamping Linen and frayed the edges to really show off the linen effect.  I've also used my favourite 15mm wide satin ribbon and some matching red twine which is holding on a cute little silver jingle bell.  All my other embellishments are white to keep the design simple and not cover up any more of the pretty pink Magnolia papers than I had to.

Hokey Pokey

Today's card is a Christmas themed, but not traditional Christmas colours, but I think it looks festive and magical with the little fairy image.  I've teamed my little fairy with some sparkle and a lovely ornament die from Whimsy.  I think she's really cute, so I hope you also like my contemporary Christmas card.

I love how easy she is to colour and again I've used my distress re-inkers to colour her and the background,

Christmas Wishes

Hi Liz here with my latest card for The Stamp Basket

we're still in the Christmas Fortnight so I've used this totally adorable stamp from Nellie Snellen called Hokey Pokey, wow how adorable is she!!

She is coloured with my distress re-inkers as is the background,

I've used some gorgeous snow white pearls for her skirt and detail of her hat,

you could colour her as I have  or just with a head band and the back is her hair but I thought I'd have a change and colour it this way lol,

The fabby Memory Box  flowering Christmas tree I've used I cut out of white card then coloured it with distress inks using a couple of different colours to get a different look,

Saturday Afternoon at the Stamp Basket

Hello and a warm welcome to the The Stamp Basket on this freezing cold Saturday! A big 'thank you' to everyone who sent in name suggestions for our baby elephant – we did so enjoy reading your e-mails and the ideas that you sent through were just fab - some of the names really made us chuckle, and it was so difficult to choose! But the decision was unanimous and I can now reveal that....big drum roll...

Such a cute name and so perfect for our baby elephant! We hope that you have fun colouring her and using her in your projects - don't forget to send us your piccies, we'd love to see what you make using the stamp!

Donations for Brandon’s family can be still be made on the website and our free Christmas digi stamp will be automatically e-mailed to anyone resident in the UK or Europe who makes a donation from now until 1^st January 2012…so there is still time to get our Christmas digi stamp ‘Love came down at Christmas’ if you missed out earlier this week!

Now, on to today’s card. I thought I’d show you something other than a Christmas card (although I really do need to get going with mine if I’m going to make the last posting date!). So here is a birthday card, again, using the Nellie Snellen image called Hokey Pokey! Such a versatile little stamp! The sentiment is another of my favourite Molly Blooms text stamps ‘Just for You’ – love the little hearts and flowers!
