Hi all,
I have a Christmas card to show you today using a Wild
Rose Studio image called ‘Hanging Gifts’. I have to admit that my New Year’s
resolution to make my Christmas cards early this year has, so far, been put on
the back burner and it did feel very strange making a Christmas card with the
window wide open and the sun streaming in…but hopefully, this will be the first
of many Christmas cards to come! As if this wasn’t enough of a challenge in itself, I also challenged myself to design a card that would fit through the Post Office ‘gadget thingy’…I think the official term is a ‘size template’! Increases in UK postal charges are going to mean that, for many of us, multiple layers and very dense card embellishments will need to be kept to a minimum this year in order to fit through the size template, so over the next few months, I shall be testing out some different designs using just stamped images, dies and very few embellishments...I’ll let you know how I go on!
Here's a close up coloured with copics:
We always love it when customers send us photos of
projects…it’s really so good to see what you make with the orders that we send
out! So, if any of you come up with any Christmas card designs that will fit
through the size template, we’d love to hear from you…please e-mail your photos
to us…or better still, share them on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Stamp-Basket/279498328811208
…and if you’re not sure how to load them, please
e-mail, we’ll be only too happy to help!
In the meantime, don’t forget our special promotion on
Wild Rose Studio products this week (and other crafting goodies, too!)…and
please, do spread the word so that your family, neighbours and friends can benefit
from the special offers, too!
Hope you have a
lovely weekend!
Hugs,
Janet xx
