A Quick and Simple Christmas Make

Good morning.
Debs here with my usual Sunday morning inspiration using some scrummy stash from

But this week I have something a little different to share with you as I have not used any stamped image on my card - just a gorgeous die and a piece of one of my favourite Christmas Design Papers from last year.

So here's my quick and simple Christmas make:

Card Ingredients available at The Stamp Basket:
Snowflake Wreath: 'Joy Crafts Winter Wishes Circle with Ice Crystals' (currently in the sale wink wink)
Memento Dewdrop Ink 'Rhubarb Stalk'
Adhesive Rhinestones - originally clear - coloured with Copic Pen

Think I will make a few more of these this year as my quick and easy Christmas cards.

Why not grab a cuppa and hop on over to The Stamp Basket to see what other fabulous bargains you can treat yourself to.

Have a fabulous crafty day.

Mimosa Lighting Up

I've made another 'tag' style card as I am really liking the C&S style at the moment.  This one's a Christmas card, featuring Bildmalarna Mimosa Lighting Up.  I've popped some die cut snowflakes behind the tag, and some little rhinestones in the corner.  This one's been kept fairly flat, so it shouldn't cost a fortune to mail.

Alex in the Snow with Puppies

I'm still on a mission to make my Christmas cards throughout the year, so I've got another one to share today.  This one is a cute Stampavie image of a little boy and puppies.  I've teamed it with some of my favourite Silent Night papers, and some die cuts.  The die cuts were originally cut in white, but I've coloured the lamp in brown copic, and then popped some orange card behind the cut outs, and given the orange some sparkle with some shimmer gel pens.

Maya and Kitty Sledging

I know it's only mid February but I'm continuing my mission to get my Christmas cards made throughout the year.  So I've got another one to share today.

This one features one of my favourite Whiff of Joy images of Maya and Kitty sledging.  I've used mainly browns (to match the papers and embellishments) but added a sprinkling of pink to give it a bit of a pop.

The Village Lamp is a lovely die that I've used for the first time today, and I've coloured it in gold, but perhaps not using something that you might expect!  That's where the make-up hint lies in the title of this post.

The gold is actually an eye-liner that I bought in a Body Shop sale a looooong time ago, and found in an old make-up bag completely unused a couple of years ago.  At that time, I decided that I had no idea what on earth I was thinking when I bought it, but I certainly don't think I would ever wear gold make-up.  So it became a crafting item instead (which might have been the original intention anyway!).  And it's laid unused until today!  To be honest I thought it would have dried up by now.  But nope!!  Still good, and the little brush applicator was perfect to paint the die cut.

I'll admit that on the make-up front, I'm a simple mascara kind of girl.  I wouldn't want to be seen dead without that.  And I do also wear a spot of eyeshadow in the week for work.  But that's it.  The whole foundation-concealer-lipstick-blusher-bronzer stuff escapes me.  I'd rather have an extra 10 minutes in bed than be under the false impression that anything I do with various pots, sticks, brushes and lotions can make much improvement!!  Plus any lippy seems to have blotted off within an hour if I do wear it for a special occasion / wedding etc.

Lip-balms on the other hand, well .. I have dozens of those little suckers!!   And I think that lip-balm is much more suited for little Maya as she goes sledging with her kitty on a cold winter's day!  :0)

Don't forget it's the final few days of The Stamp Basket Sale, so pop over there to grab your final bargains before it finishes.
