Helping Santa

My card for The Stamp Basket today is another Christmas card, but this time it's a but less feminine and fairly C&S (for me!).

I've used some of the new Wild Rose Studio papers and a lovely Nellie Snellen image.

The bow is actually a double bow, but it's come out quite dark in the photo, although the ribbon is actually a really rich forest green, and quite a bit lighter than it shows here, but I hope you can still make out the double layer of it despite the darkness.

Annabelle on Swing

I'm having a break from Christmas cards (well it isn't even September until tomorrow!) to show you one of the most summery cards I think I've ever made.  It features Annabelle on Swing from The Stamp Basket and some bright yellow gingham papers with green and lilac accents.

Annabelle Hanging Gifts

Yup, we're still in Christmas mode at the moment, but today I've used some gorgeous papers which are not really festive, but look kind of 'frosty'!  The beautiful aqua papers are so pretty that it seemed such a tragedy to cover them up with 'stuff'!

I kept all the embellies either white or pale blue so they continued the frosty theme, and liberally sprinkled glitter in the snowy areas, as well as some pretty lace and pearls.

I really like this colour scheme for Christmas, and it makes a nice change from traditional reds and greens.

Let's go fly a kite

My card today features Sun Kissed from The Stamp Basket, and she's currently on sale, as are the beautiful papers which are Magnolia and I'm sooo in love with them.  These are the Cloudy Purple Hearts, but I also have the pink and turquoise hearts which are my favourite. They're so pretty and subtle.  I tried to match the colours of my image to the papers to bring it all together.

The die cuts are all white to maintain the pale colouring, and I've used a Pine Needle Border and a couple of Summer Kites.  There's a piece of lace in there too, between the kites and the flowers, but it's quite pale so you have to have your specs on to see it!

Tilly With Rose

It's Annette with you today sharing a card which features a cute Wild Rose Studio image of Tilly with Rose.  I've also used the gorgeous rich burgundy satin ribbon again because when I used it last week I realised how much I love it and it seems to match really well with the pretty papers.

I've used the gorgeous Pine Needles die again and of course my favourite Lavish Branch.  I think the green really compliments the rich burgundy ribbon.

Hope you like it.

Geekin' It Note Book

It's Annette here today, and I've got a cute decorated note book to share today using one of the new Saturated Canary images.  I thought that this image was perfect for a note book.

I've added a bit of lace, some ribbon, a pine needle die and then I've added my text in white gel pen.  That's it.  I didn't want to add any 3D embellishments because I thought they might get pulled off if the note book was slipping in and out of a handbag, so I kept this project flat for that reason.
