Little Friends - Shelley

Morning everyone,

I have a birthday card to show today using one of the gorgeous Sylvia Zet Little Friends toppers called ‘Shelley’ which I‘ve teamed with the pretty vintage style Maja Design ‘Coffee in the Arbour’ papers.

I’ve used a range of dies on this card: the gorgeous Spellbinders ‘Fancy Lattice’ die to help create a background trellis; the Memory Box ‘Oceana Border’ die for the waves (currently available in our summer sale). The foliage was created using Spellbinders ‘Sprigs’ and Marianne Designs ‘Leaf Branch’ and the flowers have been made using the Memory Box ‘Hibiscus’ die to give a tropical feel!

The sentiment is from the Whimsy ‘Ticket Notes’ stamp set and has been die cut with the Whimsy ‘Ticket’ die - both are currently available in our summer sale! And finally, the happy birthday sentiment has been die cut using the Whimsy Circle Pennant die set also currently available in our summer sale!

Wonderful Whale

I've been playing with my Wonderful Whales die again today, but have something completely different to share using them this time.  Instead of the mobile that I created earlier in the week, I've made a card today.  I was going to add a sentiment 'Have a Whale of a Time' but in the end I couldn't decide where to put it, so I left it out!  Perhaps I can put it inside!

These little whales are so cute, and I love them with the googly eyes, although you could draw the eyes on instead.  They look great on a kid's card.  This card was really simple to make too, just die cuts and a bit of colouring, because apart from the sun and oceana border, everything else was die cut in plain white card which I coloured with Copics.
