Diamond Wedding Anniversary Card

A 60th Wedding Anniversary Card made last year - such a milestone! Not my usual style of card but I wanted to make this really special to mark the occasion so went on over to Pam's Crafts for some inspiration. Pam makes such fabulous cards to mark special occasions...

I dusted the edges of the white pearl card (which looks very grey in the photo!) and the flowers with pale blue pearlescent chalk.

Recipe:
Dies: Spellbinders - Grand Decorative Circles One, Spellbinders - Filigree Numbers, Memory Box - Lavish Branch, Spellbinders - Blooms One, JustRite Antique Tags One
Embossing Folder: Creative Expressions - Heart Lattice

Vintage Summer Meadows

Hello!

I'm really enjoying making clean and simple cards at the moment - this one was made using Memory Box 'Lavish Branch' and Sissix 'Tattered Florals' dies. The country style papers are left-overs from an old pack by Docrafts called 'Summer Meadows'.

Teddy with Present

Hi all,

Today’s birthday card has been made using the gorgeous Wild Rose Studio ‘Teddy with Present’ stamp. The WRS stamp collections are such good value for money! They're good quality and the designs are so versatile, you can use them again and again for different occasions: birthdays, ‘thank you’ cards, ‘thinking of you’ cards, as well as just to send a note to someone!

Today, I’ve teamed Teddy with papers from the new Maja Design ‘Coffee in the Arbour’ pack…the pinks and greens were ideal for the vintage feel that I wanted for this card.

Squirrel on Branch

I've had a bit of a colour match frenzy today!  I made this card using a Wild Rose Studio image and the Antique Library paper pad, and then realised I didn't have a ribbon to match the papers, so I coloured some vintage style that was ivory with a pink marker to match the papers.

I've also used coffee coloured pearls, but the pearl in the brad holding on the bow was originally white, so I coloured that with a pale brown marker so that it matched too.  It just goes to show how versatile these basic items can be.

Mouse on Presents

I've got another pale one to share today, using one of my current favourite images of Mouse on Presents and some lovely Magnolia papers in a soft pink.  I've added some lace and vintage ribbon, and a few pearls.  I really love the three little critters in this image, they're so cute!

Little Love Bear

I know it's only January, so a little way away from Valentines yet, but as it's dismal outside, I fancied making something to brighten the mood.

This little bear is called Little Love Bear and I quite fancy a little bit of what he's carrying as it looks like a box of chocs to me! :0)

Mountain Lily

My card for The Stamp Basket today features a cute little Wee Stamps image called Mountain Lily.  I managed to mess up the main image, so I "fussy cut" her out again and layered her on top of my main image on foam pads which actually gave the card more dimension.  Considering it was a mistake, it didn't turn out too bad.

Bella with a Pile of Presents

Hello everyone, it's Annette here again and I can tell you that I managed to make it though my sponsored walk last night without incident (apart from the idiots who thought it was fun to drive along the route throwing potatoes at the walkers and marshalls!!! One hit my friend square on the back).  I ached so much by the end and you can be certain that I won't be doing much today!  I think it could be a great excuse for a crafting day!!

My card for The Stamp Basket today is another Bella, this time she's sitting on a pile of wrapped presents holding a balloon.  She looks like she's in full party mode!

The papers match the image, and I've tried to colour the image using the same colour scheme, including a touch of pale purple to bring out the purple accent on the lid of the bottom box.

Don't forget too that the Stamp Basket Summer Sale finishes tomorrow, so get your skates on to grab a sale bargain.

Rose Scent Tilda

It's Annette with you today, and I really love today's card which I've made for The Stamp Basket.  I ordered the  gorgeous new Graphic 45 pad from Janet, and it arrived last Saturday.  So, after hubby's rant along the lines of "gawd, what have you bought now" when the package hit the doormat, guess what I spent the morning playing with!!

I coloured her with my Copics, but stamped the image with grey, rather than black, ink pad so the lines are soft.  I stitched around the panels and image and managed to squeeze in two of my favourite Memory box dies; Lavish Branch and Fancy Blossoms.

The Birthday Girl...

Hi all,
I have a Birthday card to show you today using a number of products that can be found in our summer sale!! The cute stamp is Bildmalarna ‘Your Birthday’...doesn't that cake look scrummy? I can almost taste the frosting!

The gorgeous papers are Papermania ‘Vintage Notes’ - this is such a lovely girly paper pack full of nostalgia! The sentiment is one of my favourites from the Whiff of Joy 'Magical Wishes' collection - there are some really lovely sentiments in this collection that can be used time and time again. I cut out the sentiment using one of the Nellie Snellie Multi-frame die hearts...I absolutely love this set..and they are a real bargain at the moment in the sale!

Baby Rosebud

Hi all,

I have a card to show you today using one of the new Crafter’s Companion Faerie Poppet stamps called ‘Baby Rosebud’. This is such a lovely image to colour…full of nostalgia…so I tried to pick a colour combination that would reflect that mood!

The Faerie Poppets stamps have a range of lovely sentiments accompanying each stamp. Here I have used one from the’ Sweetest Moments’ stamp set. There are seven texts (beautiful fonts!), a corner and border stamp in the ‘Baby Rosebud’ and six sentiments plus the corner and border stamp in the ‘Sweetest Moments’ stamp set, which is really good value for money! Some of the sentiments e.g. ‘Just for You and ‘Love’ will be suitable for all occasion use, too!
...and don't forget there's a special offer of 15% off all Crafter's Companion stamps this weekend until 9-00a.m. GMT Tuesday!

Cherry Cupcake

Hi all,
I’m here today to show you another party celebration themed project – this time a tag that I’ve made using two Whimsy dies: the ‘Cherry Cupcake tag’ die and the ‘Birthday Sentimentables’ dies set.

I used the gorgeous Wild Rose Studio Bella’s Birthday paper pack again combined with Bazzill ‘Impatiens’ cardstock. I cut the cherry cupcake tag out three times: once using Neenah Classic Crest, which I then used as the base card, and then once in Bazzill ‘Impatiens’ which became the cake base and once in the WRS polka dot papers which I used for the topping.

Here's a close up of the cupcake...

I also used the Memory Box Lavish Branch (chopped up) – I’m really enjoying colouring die-cuts at the moment, it’s a great way to get an exact colour match for your project and of course, you can always use several colours both to distinguish different elements within the die-cut and to get depth of shade, too!

Bunny with Flowers

It's Annette back with you today with my Saturday project for The Stamp Basket, and I've got something a bit different to share, because it's not a card.  I've made a door hanger in some lovely pinks, and of course some gorgeous dies!

The hanger is a large piece of chipboard and I've threaded some ribbon through holes at the top to hang it by.  I used some really teeny circle dies to make some re-inforcers for the holes.  The sentiment is typed in Word in white text with a purple background, and then cut out with my Bistro Label die.

The gorgeous floral papers are from Docrafts Country Companions and are glossy, so they have a lovely sheen.  I've colour co-ordinated my die cuts with the purple accents on the die cuts for a pink and purple theme.
