Vintage Bloomers...

Hello everyone,
I have two cards to show you today that have been made using some left overs scraps of paper from the Papermania Vintage Notes range of papers.  This is a fabulous range of papers, full of soft, muted shades which co-ordinate beautifully with the Papermania Vintage Notes bloomer flowers and vintage style lace, perfect for giving any Mother’s Day card or project a special touch!

Finding time to craft is not always easy but the simplicity of these cards meant that they were very quick and easy to make - both cards together took less than 20 mintues tops!
First, I cut a piece of Bazzill French Vanilla cardstock measuring 4.5 inches x 9 inches. I then scored down the middle and folded in half to make the base card.  I then cut a piece of patterned paper from my left over scraps and stuck to the base card, using Collall All Purpose glue.
I prepared the flowers using Hi Tack All Purpose glue, first sticking a rose to the mauve Prima Meadow Lark Essential petal and then sticking the petal to the Papermania Vintage Notes bloomer flower. I then left the prepared bloomer on one side to dry.
Meanwhile, I cut the lace and attached using Ranger Redline Wonder tape.
The leaves where die cut using the gorgeous Memory Box Lorelai Leaf – this die creates such lovely foliage! I then positioned the leaves (using the bloomer as a template) and stuck them in place. Both sentiments were computer generated, printed on to Vintage Notes paper or French Vanilla card and then positioned and stuck on the base card. I then stuck the bloomer in place.

Cherry Blossom (& a Little Competition)

Happy Saturday everyone!  It's Annette here today to remind you that The Stamp Basket is now stocking Saturated Canary stamps.  This was the first non-Christmas card that I've made this year, and I really loved it when I'd finished it.  I love the lilac colours and pretty papers.

The pearls in the corner were originally white, but I coloured them with one of my copics (G24) so that they matched my card.  I also coloured the pearl in the middle of my brad which holds on my bow.

As it was one of my new year's resolutions, I've also taken the time to do some stitching on my card (and then regretted it as I manoeuvred around the first part of the fancy shaped card base!!! LOL).  But overall, I'm really pleased with the finished card.  Hope you like her too.

Competition Time:
Before I dash off, I wanted to quickly tell you all that I'm running a little competition on my personal blog.

Some of you might know that I have previously designed and given away lots of freebie sentiments and it's been quite a while since I created any new ones.

That's where I need your help.

I'm looking for some great ideas for sentiments that you'd like to see on future freebies.  To enter the competition, and hopefully receive your sentiment in 'ink', pop over to my blog and leave your suggestion(s) on the competition post.

I look forward to seeing your ideas.

Have a lovely Saturday and I'll see you again tomorrow
