Bildmalarna Scarf

Hi all,

I have a little treat for you today...a beautiful card from June...although sadly, it is her last card as guest designer for The Stamp Basket...how time flies!

June has used a stamp from Bildmalarna called 'Scarf'.

How cute is this stamp? I just love Mimosa's sweet expression...aah...the innocence of childhood!

June has very cleverly combined a mix of papers...GDC Studios 'Joyful Peace', Papermania 'At Christmas Time' and a piece of Bazzill Kraft Card embossed using one of our Spellbinder embossing folders which she has then inked around the edges to give a distressed look.

As June said on her lovely blog "I would like to thank Janet for being so lovely. I've really enjoyed myself using the lovely DT pack"...ah, June that's so sweet of you...we have really enjoyed having you on the team and will miss your beautiful cards so much! We hope you'll feel much better soon.

The ingredients for June's card are...........

Small red button from the Christmas Button mix

Before I go, just a gentle reminder about the special offers on Wild Rose Studio stamps, papers and printed panels over at our online store. Offer ends at 9-00a.m. GMT on Wednesday 21st November 2012.

Hope you have a lovely weekend.

Hugs,
Janet xx

Baby Jesus

It's Annette here with today's card using a sweet image from Nellie Snellen called Baby Jesus.  I've painted it with my Distress re-inkers but I had a small mishap because I mistakenly coloured Mary's foot green when I was painting her head scarf.  I couldn't then colour it the same colour as her face, so instead I pretended she was wearing shoes, and coloured it chocolate brown instead.

I think I will try to colour this image again sometime soon and see if I can improve!

Nativity Play

Hi everyone.  It's Annette here today to share a card using a sweet image from The Stamp Basket.

Yes, it is another Christmas card.  But it is nearly November, so Christmas is only 8 weeks away.  (Considering I was making Christmas cards in January, I'm not entirely sure that excuse works, but I'm sticking to it!)

This new flourish die is just amazing.   I LOVE IT.   I loved the corner bow but this one is fantastic too.

These Kaisercraft papers are also adorable. My favourite so far is the one I've used on the top half.  It's so romantic and pretty.

Christmas Letters

Hello everyone.  It's Annette here today to share a card on behalf of The Stamp Basket.  I've made another Christmas card in some lovely traditional colours.

I've used the gorgeous corner bow in red card and it looks amazing on the contrasting papers.  I really love these holly dies too. They have a lovely embossed finish and can be decorated with pearls or liquid pearls for holly.

Present for You

It's Saturday, so it's me, Annette, here today with another card to share on behalf of The Stamp Basket.

Today's card is a bit more masculine, so I've kept the embellishments to a minimum (well, this is a minimum for me).

The Holly dies are accented with some red liquid pearls, dark green copic and white gel pen.

I'm just so in love with these pearl brads, they really seem to finish off the bows perfectly, and look especially good on this dark green satin ribbon.

The papers are really traditional, and make a classic Christmas card.

Hokey Pokey

Hi everyone.  It's me, Annette, here again today.

Yup, I know it's Sunday and I was only here yesterday, but I got a bit carried away with my goodies from The Stamp Basket, and have made another card to share with you today.

I didn't overload the card with embellies as I wanted to show off the backing paper and image, both of which are gorgeous.

Red & Green Cutie

Hello Everyone.

It's Annette with you here today with my first post as a guest designer at The Stamp Basket.

It was exactly a week ago today when a hefty package dropped on my doormat from Janet.  She'd packed me up such a beautiful array of products to showcase that I hardly knew where to start.

Here's the result of my first bout of creativity.  It's also my first ever card using Bildmalarna images so this is really new for me.  The cute girlie looks like a little doll in her red coat and green scarf.

I've also fallen in love with the Memory Box Corner Bow die which is just perfect for this size of card (6inches).  It looks stunning on a contrasting coloured background.

The gorgeous satin ribbon is fabulous and you can see the sheen on it from the picture.  The papers are also pretty, and I've edged the scalloped card base with Stickles to give it some sparkle.

Have a fab weekend.
