Vintage Bloomers...

Hello everyone,
I have two cards to show you today that have been made using some left overs scraps of paper from the Papermania Vintage Notes range of papers.  This is a fabulous range of papers, full of soft, muted shades which co-ordinate beautifully with the Papermania Vintage Notes bloomer flowers and vintage style lace, perfect for giving any Mother’s Day card or project a special touch!

Finding time to craft is not always easy but the simplicity of these cards meant that they were very quick and easy to make - both cards together took less than 20 mintues tops!
First, I cut a piece of Bazzill French Vanilla cardstock measuring 4.5 inches x 9 inches. I then scored down the middle and folded in half to make the base card.  I then cut a piece of patterned paper from my left over scraps and stuck to the base card, using Collall All Purpose glue.
I prepared the flowers using Hi Tack All Purpose glue, first sticking a rose to the mauve Prima Meadow Lark Essential petal and then sticking the petal to the Papermania Vintage Notes bloomer flower. I then left the prepared bloomer on one side to dry.
Meanwhile, I cut the lace and attached using Ranger Redline Wonder tape.
The leaves where die cut using the gorgeous Memory Box Lorelai Leaf – this die creates such lovely foliage! I then positioned the leaves (using the bloomer as a template) and stuck them in place. Both sentiments were computer generated, printed on to Vintage Notes paper or French Vanilla card and then positioned and stuck on the base card. I then stuck the bloomer in place.

  1. Gorgeous, I can't believe they only took 20 mins. It usually takes me longer than that to decide what colour scheme I'm going to use !!! FAB. They'd be great styles for Mother's day too.

  2. Thanks, Annette but the credit has to be given to Docrafts...the papers and bloomers co-ordinate so well, they've taken care of the difficult decisions about colour schemes! Janet xx
