Hokey Pokey

Hi everyone.  It's me, Annette, here again today.

Yup, I know it's Sunday and I was only here yesterday, but I got a bit carried away with my goodies from The Stamp Basket, and have made another card to share with you today.

I didn't overload the card with embellies as I wanted to show off the backing paper and image, both of which are gorgeous.

All items are from The Stamp Basket as follows:

Pop over to The Stamp Basket to see the lovely array of products on offer.  Don't forget there's currently 10% off embossing folders at the moment, and the offer ends tomorrow at 9am, so get your skates on while the sale is still on.

Happy crafting

Christmas Birdie (and a bit of red!)

It's Saturday, so it's Annette here to share another card to share today on behalf of The Stamp Basket.  This one is bright red, a colour I don't usually use, but I was inspired by the cute papers and gorgeous bright ribbon that I'd picked out.  Plus the girlie in the image looked like she needed a red coat and hat.

I really love the holly paper in this card.  It is quite soft, and because it is quite a busy pattern, it does not show up the imperfections in my cutting around the shaped card.  Here's a tip guys, never,  I repeat NEVER, try to cut around a shaped card with a plain backing paper. Oh my word, it shows up EVERY little imperfection in your shape, however careful you might think you're cutting around it.  A busy pattern seems to hide them all.  Love it !!

I've used some gorgeous shimmery red ribbon as an accent on this card, and some super cute snowflake dies.  I really love the Memory Box Frostyville Wreath.  It looks fab against the deep red papers.

All items are from The Stamp Basket as follows:
Happy crafting everyone. Have a fab weekend.

Customer Card Day!

Happy Friday everyone! The weekend is nearly here and it’s time to show you some more cards created by one of our customers…Suzie from Suzie's Card Den!
I just love the colours that Suzie has chosen for this first card…just 'perfick' for conveying “A Little Bit of Country” feel to this gorgeous Stampavie image!

When I saw Suzie's second card using the Wild Rose Studio ‘Feeding Robins’ image, I was absolutely bowled over…

I just love all that glitz…and doesn’t Suzie’s rich colour combo look great against those fabulous ‘Annabelle’s Christmas papers’ by Wild RoseStudio? Such beautiful work, Suzie!

Suzie makes all her own beaded pins and showcases lots of differently styled pins on her blog, so if you’d like to see more of Suzie’s work, you can visit her inspirational blog Suzie's Card Den

And before I go, just a quick reminder about the special 10% discount on all Couture Creations and Spellbinders embossing folders currently over at The Stamp Basket. Offer ends 9-00a.m. (GMT) Monday 1st October, so be sure not to miss out!
Thanks for visiting us today and hope you have a lovely weekend, whatever your plans!

Hugs,

Janet xx

Sharing a Biscuit

It's Annette here again today with card to share on behalf of The Stamp Basket.  I know I only posted yesterday, but I couldn't help but be inspired by these beautiful Nitwits papers.

This card is so 'me' with the soft blues and white snowflakes.  The backing papers are from the Nitwits Joyful Hearts collection and the quality is utterly amazing.  When I call it backing 'paper', it is even thicker than my card base and just feels gorgeous.  I really had to force myself to use it because it just felt too good to cut up with its lovely fabric appearance.

The adorable image is from Nellie Snellen.   I've not coloured her before and I know she is already one of my favourites from the collection with the cute little squirrel.

I am also addicted to Glamour Dust. It is so much finer in texture than stickles and looks fantastic.  You need some clear wet glue (I use glossy accents) and sprinkle it on, and you get a stunning sparkle.

Hope you like my card.

Red & Green Cutie

Hello Everyone.

It's Annette with you here today with my first post as a guest designer at The Stamp Basket.

It was exactly a week ago today when a hefty package dropped on my doormat from Janet.  She'd packed me up such a beautiful array of products to showcase that I hardly knew where to start.

Here's the result of my first bout of creativity.  It's also my first ever card using Bildmalarna images so this is really new for me.  The cute girlie looks like a little doll in her red coat and green scarf.

I've also fallen in love with the Memory Box Corner Bow die which is just perfect for this size of card (6inches).  It looks stunning on a contrasting coloured background.

The gorgeous satin ribbon is fabulous and you can see the sheen on it from the picture.  The papers are also pretty, and I've edged the scalloped card base with Stickles to give it some sparkle.

All items are from The Stamp Basket as follows:
Have a fab weekend.

Feeding Robins

Hi everyone. I hope you are enjoying the great weather we are having at the moment!! I have a contemporary card to show you today using an image from the Wild Rose Studio Annabelle’s Christmas collection called ‘Feeding Robins’…this is such a lovely stamp...(sorry about the quality of the photo)

The papers are again from the Annabelle's Christmas Collection...I just love the rich colour of these papers! I’ve decorated the inside of the card using the same papers, too...unfortunately, I didn't notice the wonky matting until after the glue had dried...and by then it seemed such a shame to waste these gorgeous papers in the bin!

The sentiment is from the Wild Rose Studio ‘Christmas Circles’ stamp set layered onto one of the snowflakes from the Spellbinders 2012 Snowflake Pendant set (just arrived in store) which I’ve blinged using glamour dust! I’ve also used one of my favourite Memory Box dies on this card, too…the Frostyville Wreath…this die adds such a lovely delicate touch to cards!
...all the stamps and papers used on this card are on special offer this weekend over at The Stamp Basket!

Recipe:
Stamp: Wild Rose Studio ‘Feeding Robins’
Papers: ‘Annabelle’s Christmas’
Card: Bazzill Emma
Tools: Memory Box ‘Frostyville’; Spellbinders ‘2012 Snowflake Pendant’
Embellishments: 3mm, 4mm and 5mm The Hobby House Snow white pearls; Berisfords Super Sheer White ribbon; Deco Art Glamour dust; Ranger Stickles – star dust; Ranger Liquid Pearls – white opal; Inkssentials white opaque pen.

Many thanks for stopping by….hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Annabelle and Tree...

Hi everyone. I hope you are having a lovely weekend and making the most of the fab weather we are having!! I have a card to show you today from the Wild Rose Studio Annabelle’s Christmas collection called ‘Annabelle and Tree’.  The papers are also Wild Rose Studio Annabelle’s Christmas...this pack is full of traditional rich Christmas reds and holly greens…my favourite! Both the stamp and papers are on special offer this weekend at The Stamp Basket!

The sentiment has been die cut from the new Memory Box Typewriter Upper Alphabet die set…these letters are just the right size for card making and scrapbooking...I’ve started a list of words to add to my Christmas cards…JOY, PEACE, NOEL, LOVE, CHRISTMAS….the possibilities are infinitesimal…the lettering adds such a different dimension to the usual embellies!
The corner bow is cut from one of the new Memory Box dies….as with many of the Memory Box dies, this is a beautiful delicate die which really enhances a project…and of course, it can be used all year round like the Alphabet sets….ooh, and before I forget, there’s a special offer on the Alphabet sets too, if you buy the lower and upper case letter sets together!

Here's a close up of the image coloured with copics:

Recipe:

Embellishments: 3mm, 4mm and 5mm The Hobby House snow white pearls (excellent quality for the price!); Deco Art glamour dust; Ranger Stickles - star dust; Inkssentials opaque pen - white (snowflakes on hat, bows, tree decorations...and the dog!)

Many thanks for your lovely comments over the past few weeks – we do appreciate hearing from you so much.
Enjoy the rest of your day!
Hugs,

Customer Card Day

Hi all,
It’s Customer Card Day at The Stamp Basket today and we have a very special card to showcase that was sent to us by.....

........ Ann-Marie

For those of you who are familiar with Ann Marie’s blog, I'm sure you'll agree  that it really is a ‘little patch of heaven’! Her cards are always gorgeous, with such interesting designs and fabulous detail!

When Ann-Marie sent me a piccie of a card that she had made recently using products purchased from The Stamp Basket, I instantly fell in love with her creation!

I love the designer papers that she's used from Prima (Natures Garden) matted onto Bazzill Kraft card, the lovely corner die-cuts, also cut from Kraft using the Whimsy Corner Die set…and the sweet Magnolia ‘Tilda with Wrapped Heart’ image, one of my favourites, which has been coloured so beautifully! A little birdie tells me that this is the first time that Ann-Marie has tried out Kraft card…and what a fabulous result…soooo professional! Congratulations, Ann-Marie...I can’t wait to see what else you create!

To see more of Ann-Marie’s fabulous cards, visit her blog at My Little Patch of Heaven….and please, do keep those cards coming, we love to see what you make...and who knows, next time it could be your card that we showcase!
