Saturday Afternoon at The Stamp Basket

Hi everyone and a Happy New Year's Eve! I do hope you had a wonderful, fun Christmas, filled with everything that you hoped for and are looking forward to a new year!  It’s that time of the year when, traditionally, we look back and take stock, so I thought I would join my crafting friends in choosing some of my favourites from all the wonderful cards that our design team have inspired us with over the past couple of months. It’s been a lot harder to choose than I thought it was going to be but posting them all again would have rather defeated the objective! So, here's just a few of my favourites...
From Vicky:
From Teresa:

From Lisa:

 From Kerry:

From Janet:

So why not join in and leave a comment below with a link to your own favourite cards for 2011…we’d love to visit your blogs to see what you’ve been making!

Also, don't forget that our SALE is still on with up to 30% off designer papers and 25% of selected stamps...and for those who would still like to make a donation to Brandon and his family and receive our free 'Love Came Down at Christmas' digi stamp, you can do so here until 2nd January 2012.

In the meantime, everyone at The Stamp Basket would like to wish you a very Happy, Peaceful New Year!
Hugs,
Janet xx

I love colouring these Molly Blooms Christmas images. They remind me of the wonderful acceptance of children.  The ‘Happy Christmas’ sentiment is one of the lovely Molly Blooms text stamps and the vintage style paper is from one of my favourite pads by GCD Studios…mmm, gorgeous!  All of these products are reduced in our Christmas sale, so why not pop along and take a look…there are some real bargains to be had!

Sharing a biscuit...or a sandwich!

Today’s card is another Nellie Snellen image that I’ve been wanting to ink up for a while and just not got round to it! I just love this stamp! It’s called ‘Sharing a biscuit’ and reminds me of a friend who was recently walking through a park eating her lunch when she found herself surrounded by squirrels…so what did she do? She shared her sandwich!

The sentiment is from a lovely little set of Wild Rose Studio stamps called ‘Christmas Circles’. Both stamps are currently in our sale!

Saturday Afternoon at the Stamp Basket

Hello and a warm welcome to the The Stamp Basket on this freezing cold Saturday! A big 'thank you' to everyone who sent in name suggestions for our baby elephant – we did so enjoy reading your e-mails and the ideas that you sent through were just fab - some of the names really made us chuckle, and it was so difficult to choose! But the decision was unanimous and I can now reveal that....big drum roll...

the name that we have chosen is
************
*********
*****
Molly May
Such a cute name and so perfect for our baby elephant! We hope that you have fun colouring her and using her in your projects - don't forget to send us your piccies, we'd love to see what you make using the stamp!

Donations for Brandon’s family can be still be made on the website and our free Christmas digi stamp will be automatically e-mailed to anyone resident in the UK or Europe who makes a donation from now until 1st January 2012…so there is still time to get our Christmas digi stamp ‘Love came down at Christmas’ if you missed out earlier this week!

Now, on to today’s card. I thought I’d show you something other than a Christmas card (although I really do need to get going with mine if I’m going to make the last posting date!). So here is a birthday card, again, using the Nellie Snellen image called Hokey Pokey! Such a versatile little stamp! The sentiment is another of my favourite Molly Blooms text stamps ‘Just for You’ – love the little hearts and flowers!

Here’s a close up of the image, coloured with copics

…and some close ups of the embellies…mmm such gorgeous ribbon and I love the sparkle of that heart button… I’ve just got to have my bling!

Recipe

Papers: Dovecraft Back to Basics II Pink – value for money with 72 sheets of simple classic designs!
Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend...whether you're searching for that blown bulb in the fairy lights, cooking up a storm in the kitchen...or just chilling out listening to some seasonal music!

A giveaway with a difference!

Hello everyone! Today, I have some news about our giveaway and a card to show you showcasing our first digi stamp ‘Love came down at Christmas’ – the two are linked so, please, read on! This is a giveaway with a big, big difference. If you have been following Claudia Rosa’s blog this weekend, you will know already about her fundraiser for Brandon and his family (http://rosaswelt.blogspot.com). We are supporting this fundraiser and would be grateful if you would post news about both our giveaway and the fundraiser on your blog. Our giveaway is open to anyone resident in the UK and Europe.

To celebrate the Christmas season, from today until 5p.m. on Friday 9th December 2011, we are giving away the Christmas digi stamp used in my card below with our good wishes to you. To receive the stamp, all you need to do is write to us via our ‘Contact Us’ page on our website (www.thestampbasket.co.uk) suggesting a name for the baby elephant that appears on our website banner, blog, blinkie and Christmas digi stamp. Please head your message title with your suggested name for the elephant.  Your digi stamp will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours of receipt of your message.  It’s as simple as that!  The name will be chosen by The Stamp Basket team and announced on our blog and website on Saturday afternoon 10th December 2011!

So what has all of this to do with Brandon’s family, I hear you asking? Well, there is an alternative way to name the baby elephant and obtain your free digi stamp! If you would like to make a small donation to the Brandon family, you can do so by visiting the ‘Digi Stamp’ page on our website. There, you will find facilities to make a donation. Donations will be processed through Paypal – instructions of how to do this are on the website.  If, at the same time you make your donation, you would, also, like to suggest a name for the baby elephant, you can do this by writing your suggestion in the ’comments to merchant’ box when you pass through to Paypal. Your digi stamp will be automatically e-mailed to you once your donation has been processed by Paypal.  Should you wish to make a larger donation than the facility offered on the website, please contact Claudia Rosa direct to do this (details are on her blog).  All profits (after the deduction of Paypal fees) will be forwarded to Claudia Rosa for donation to Brandon’s family. A running total of donations made for Brandon’s family via The Stamp Basket will appear daily on the front page of our website and on our blog.

We know that times are hard for many people at the moment, and it may be that you have your own special charities that you donate to regularly. The digi stamp is yours, with our good wishes for Christmas and the New Year, whether you make a donation or not! We hope that you will enjoy using it and will send us a piccie of the cards and projects that you make with it. We will be setting up a special ‘Brandon Gallery’ page on the website with all the pictures we receive from you – so please, let us know how you get on!
