Mountain Lily

Hello again.  I hope you're all having a great weekend.

Today's card features the adorable Mountain Lily.  I think that this is the first time I've used this image and I really love her.

I wasn't sure if she is a Christmas image because of the bell on her wings, but I decided that she could be either depending on the colour scheme and accessories, so I've stayed away from snowflakes and festive colours.  She's so versatile that she could be used for any occasion so she's a really great stamp to keep your options open!

I've used a blue and brown colour scheme (the ribbon is a rich chocolate brown, not black as it appears in the photo).    I've sneaked in some lace under the ribbon and a bow which is held on with a pearl brad, although this doesn't show up much in the photo.

My typed sentiment has been cut out with a Notables die on which I've then punched a hole at one end to create a small tag.

Starry Night

I've got a cute Bella the Heffalump Christmas card to share today.  This one's called Starry Night, and I've cut out the image and raised it up on foam pads.

The sentiment is typed in red and overwritten with red stardust gel pen.  Other than the sprinkling of flowersoft 'snow' and some white pearls in each corner, I've opted for 'embellishment-free'.  Ooooh I feel naked!

Bella carrying a pile of presents

It's yet another Christmas today, and my card features Bella carrying a pile of presents.  The summer sale is still going for a few more days, and there's a special Christmas in July feature at the moment too.

I've coloured my image in festive colours and used lovely Christmassy papers from Wild Rose Stuido called Annabelle's Christmas.  I'm not really sure if this is a Christmas image, it could also be a birthday image if it was coloured differently perhaps, but I've used festive colours and so Bella's wearing a Santa hat!

The La La Land Crafts 'Christmas Tree' die cut has been lavished with glamour dust...a little tip, be sure to keep the windows closed when using this product…I had mine wide open and when I came to look in the mirror I sparkled from head to toe!!

Here’s close up of the image coloured with copics:

Take a Present

Today's card features one of my favourite Christmas stamps from Nellie Snellen, Take a Present.  I just love this sweet image.  I've used a festive red and green colour scheme to match the lovely Wild Rose Studio papers, and added just a couple of dies, a large snowflake and also a sentiment die.  The red satin ribbon and white lace seem to complement each other, as the red twine and white snowflake do too.

The summer sale is in full swing at The Stamp Basket, so po over to grab a bargain and stock up on your Christmassy items ready for the festive crafting season.

Bella with Sledge

Hi all,
I hope you are enjoying the fabulous weather we are having here in the UK! I have to admit I’ve been feeling a bit like a piece of limp lettuce the last few days, with the temperatures soaring so high…so it has been a winter wonderland retreat to be sitting colouring and embellishing Christmas images, dreaming of snow…well, that’s my excuse for lavishing this card in glamour dust and snowflakes!

For this card, I’ve used the cute Wild Rose Studio ‘Bella with Sledge’ image…of all of the images that I ink up (and that’s a fair few!), I can always guarantee a good crisp image with the Wild Rose Studio stamps, they are such good quality and once I’ve done an initial test on scrap paper to make sure that I’ve lined up the stamp properly, there is never any need for a second attempt because the results are always brilliant first time!

Here’s a close up of the image coloured with copics:

The papers are from Nitwits…such great quality papers and excellently priced in our summer sale…so go grab yourself a bargain!  Other products used on this card that are also in the sale include the Spellbinders 'Snowflake Pendant' and the Whimsy ‘Christmas Sayings’ stamp…such a lovely range of differently sized sentiments in this stamp set!

                                                  Recipe:
Stamps: Wild Rose Studio ‘Bella with Sledge’; Whimsy ‘Christmas Sayings’ (in the sale)

Hope you have a great day!
