Tilly with Flowers

I'm back to my trusty cute and girlie style today! Phew, it's good to be back in my comfort zone again!

Today's card features Tilly the puppy with a huge bunch of flowers.  I've used a red colour scheme throughout, accenting with some green in the image and the flowers around the edge.

Tilly with Flowers

Hi all,
Well, I'm a bit of a late Lucy tonight...but I do finally have a tri-shutter card to show you that I made recently using the cute Wild Rose ‘Tilly with Flowers’ stamp and the gorgeous new pack of Wild Rose Studio papers ‘Always and Forever’. Lots of deep and pale pinks in this pack that co-ordinate so well with brown cardstock!

The Prima flowers are from the Meadowlark collection held together with an 8mm pearl brad.

…and one more close up of the card fully extended…

Whisper Geranium

Hi all,
I have a card to show you today using one of the new Memory Box Whisper Print stamps. There are four stamps in the series and this one is called 'geranium'.

I love experimenting with stamps and this 'play' took me back years to when I first started stamping. First, I coloured the stamp with Marvey Le Plume pens (you can also use inks and paints in the same way) blending two different shades on both the petals and stalk. I then spritzed the stamp with water…I love this bit because varying the amount of water used gives different effects…so don’t be afraid to experiment (the first stamped images underneath the petals are nicely puddled!). I then pressed three images directly onto my card and left to dry (you could use a heat gun if you get impatient!). I repeated the process on a separate piece of card, this time just colouring the petals of the flower. When dry, I cut out the petals and decoupaged the flower heads. I was watching a fourth set Murray match when I stamped the second set of images so my eye was more on the ball than the stamping and I didn't quite do enough spritzing for the effect I wanted!

This is such a quick and easy technique to do and produces some lovely effects…so go create!

I've used these gorgeous Wild Rose Studio~ Letters from Paris papers, love the look of these, so in vogue and right up my street too lol,
For a change I used two vintage ribbons crossed them on the card and made a bow out of the two too, finishing it off with a  fabby button,
