Sun Kissed

Happy Sunday everyone.  It's Annette here today with a card featuring Sun Kissed from Elizabeth Bell.  I've used my lovely Lavish Branch die and pretty Country Companions double sided rose papers.

I wanted to use a green accent colour for my panels to match the green in the image, but didn't have the right colour card, so I cut my backing panels in plain cream card that I don't use much, and coloured around the edges with the same green copic (G24) that I'd used in the image and then edged it with a darker green ink pad.  I also cut the Lavish Branch out in the same cream card and used a lighter green copic (G40) pen to shade it before sticking it to my card.  I really LOVE this die; it's been used loads since I bought it because it is so versatile.  It's definitely a great staple for your die collection.

Dancing Eleanor

Happy Saturday.  It's Annette here today and I've got a sweet ballet themed card to share with you.  The image is Eleanor  and I've used some pretty pink Wild Rose Studio papers which I didn't want to cover up much, so I cut the image out and raised her onto a smaller shaped panel to give her a background.

Picked Sweet

Hi all,

Its Lyndsey here and today I have my first post as Guest Designer here on the Stamp Basket Blog.

Well Janet asked if I could make my first card using My favorite things from my DT kit - well how much stuff can you fit on 1 card - not as much as I would have liked. All of the items were just gorgeous and I found it soooo hard to choose - so I think all my cards that I will be making during my time here will be using my favorite things lol!!!!

However for today I went with a totally gorgeous image and TBH I think she is my fave - Picked Sweet by Elisabeth Bell at Whimsy Stamps. I just love these Little Cottage Cuties they are so adorable and best of all you can find them in store in the sale too!!!!

Close up of image

I really went to town on this card making it girly and pretty and adding lots of lovely flowers.

All the items I used that can be purchased in Store are as follows

Stamping Card - Neenah Crest
Card - Bazzil, Parakeet & Kraft

Well I told ya I used a lot of stuff !!!, hope you like my creation, thanks for joining me here today - see you next time

Teddy with Present

Hello everyone.  It's Annette with you today sharing a card which features a Wild Rose Studio image aptly named Teddy with Present.   It's such a versatile image, and would be suitable for Mother's day or a 'just for you' card, but today he's bringing birthday wishes.  I'm loving this fence die at the moment. The fence is cut in kraft card, and then I've run streaks of various browns to create a wood grain effect.

Your Birthday

It's Annette here today and I'm so glad it's the weekend again, and not only that, but there's only one more week until Easter too.

Today's card features Bildmalarna 'Your Birthday' but the image is quite large, so I've cut her out and only used part of the image.  It's a really versatile image which allowed me to do this, but the girl and bird seemed to be looking at something (which of course is the bear in the full picture) so I cut out the present that the bear was holding, and put it on the ground for them to look at instead!  The sewing was a challenge in itself on this project.  I tried to get it really close to the edges as there were so many small panels, and I got there in the end.

Grace

It's Annette here today, and I'm so glad it's Saturday.  Not only is it the weekend, but I've also got a "pretty in pink card" to share with you today using an image called Grace from The Stamp Basket.  The papers are so pretty and it seemed a shame to cover them up too much so I kept the design really simple.

Vintage Pennant

Hello everyone,
I have a project that is a little bit different to show you today…and at the moment it is ‘unfinished’ and still very much ‘in the making’ with a total of 12 other pennants still to be made…at some point! But it has been great fun to design and make!

The papers are a combination of left over scraps from the Prima ‘Nature Garden’ and My Mind’s Eye Lavender pads…combined with the fabulous Docrafts Papermania Vintage Notes pack (background) – you may recall that I made a set of notelet cards a few weeks ago using the left over ‘Vintage Notes’ scraps that were from from this project!

Here’s  a close up:

Recipe

Papers: Papermania Vintage notes (background); Prima Nature Garden (layered piece); MME Lavender (Mannequin)
Embellishments: Docrafts Papermania Vintage Notes lace; Prima Meadow Lark essential petals; button from the Pastel button mix; Pearl brad
Flowers, DMC thread and pearl string from stash. Mannequin home made.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a lovely day!

…another way to let us know that you’re interested in guest designing is to share some of the projects that you make by posting to our facebook page – we always love to see what you make with the products that you’ve ordered from us…

Bunny With Cake

Wow, it's Sunday already, and it's Annette with another card to share showcasing items from The Stamp Basket.  This one is Bunny with Cake and it looks to me like he needs a hand with that piece of cake, and I'm just the person to give him some help!!! LOL.  This is quite a versatile image, he could be used for a birthday, but I've added an Easter sentiment which I think is also suitable.

Purple Florence

It's Annette here today, with a new image from The Stamp Basket called Florence from Crafter's Companion.  These papers are particularly lovely and I've edged them in a plain purple card to give them a 'pop'.  I cut out and coloured my image, and raised her up onto a backing circle, onto which I'd chalked some background clouds and grass.

I'm also using some lovely new dies; the Locina Buckle and Fancy Blossoms.  I chalked the petals of the die cut flowers, and curled them around my paintbrush handle to give them some dimension.

Finally, I didn't have any purple seam binding, so I used some vintage ivory ribbon and just streaked along it with my marker pen (the wide nib end) which coloured it the shade of purple that I wanted.

Sunshine...

Hi all,

I have another quick and easy card to show you today…just the ticket when you need a card in a hurry, as we all do! I’ve used an image from the new Docrafts Country Companions die-cut toppers called ‘Special Wishes’ and combined it with co-ordinating ‘Sunshine Meadows’ papers. This collection has such a range of cute images and the goods news is that some of them are very suitable for male cards, which are always so hard to find!

I’ve used a couple of Memory Box dies on this card: Madera Corner and Typewriter Numbers, both cut from Bazzill Kraft. The button is from the Prima Fairy Belle button pack and bow made from May Arts Burlap Natural Twine.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a great day!
