Reindeer

Morning all!

I hope you are keeping warm and well...brr, how the weather has changed!

We are really getting in Christmas mode at The Stamp Basket and have been having a great time working with the new Wild Rose Studio Christmas Collection...isn't little Bluebell the cutest reindeer you have ever seen?!

I thought that today I'd put together a collection of all the fab Bluebell cards our designers have been working on over the past few weeks...so today's theme is

REINDEERS

Hope you enjoy!

Bluebell Behind Presents

It's another Wild Rose Studio card from me today; this one features Bluebell Behind Presents, and the papers are also from A Robin's Christmas.

I am really loving these Bluebell images. The little deer is so cute and I love the little robins, although my hubby keeps asking why they have fur instead of feathers.  I think they're adorable and love their fuzzy heads.

I hope you agree with me....

Scotts Roses

Hi all,

I have a very quick and easy vintage style good luck card to show you today that I made a while ago using a panel and papers from the Graphic 45 Secret Garden 8” x 8” pad and the 6” x 6” patterns and solids pad. The panels from the 8” x 8” pads are great for making quick cards or tags, and the double sided papers in the 6” x 6” pads mean that you can matt and layer with a perfect colour match every time…so no faffing round hunting for additional materials! Hope you like!

Bluebell and Presents

Hello everyone.  Today's card is another C&S design (I'm getting a bit hooked on these!).

I am also a bit addicted to this gorgeous rich red burlap twine, and have again embellished the bow with a gold bell.

I also ran a row of dimples around the edge of the image panel, but they've barely come out on the photo.  I think I should have stitched it, but it is all stuck down now. :0(

Jessica

I wanted to have a vintage style thank you card, but it seems that I've ended up with a bit of a mix up card today.  I've used papers from a Christmas pad (these ones have nothing on them to mark them as Christmassy) and a summery image from Crafter's Companion.  I think it just goes to show how versatile these papers really are!!

Hearts...

Hi all,

I hope you are having a lovely relaxing weekend! It's lovely to see the sun again after all the cold weather we've been having...Jack Frost has certainly been busy this week!

Our theme today is....

   HEARTS

Perhaps a bit of an unusual theme for this time of year but it seems so appropriate with all the fund raising that has been going on this week for people in the Philippines and also Children in Need. Despite the current economic climate, it is heart warming to see that people here in the UK and across the globe still have a big heart and show that they care for people in need.

So, if you are craft making for charity this week, here's a few ideas which we hope will inspire you...and don't forget with our clearance sale, you'll be able to purchase your products much more cheaply to ensure that you keep your fund raising costs down so that every penny counts!

Hope you have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Janet xx

Bluebell with Saddle

I'm in love with these cute little deer images from Wild Rose Studio. There's a whole set to choose from and they're all adorable.  This one is Bluebell with Saddle.

I've kept the colour scheme quite simple with neutral browns and creams, with a spot of red and green on the image.  The base card is covered with an embossed page from my favourite Christmas paper pad, Silent Night, and each layer is matted onto shimmer tan backing paper.

My rich chocolate bow is held on with one of my favourite Hobby House 8mm pearl brads.

Baby Jesus (take 2!)

Hi all,
Today’s card is another very quick and easy, no fuss, Christmas card! I’ve used the Wild Rose Studio ‘Baby Jesus’ image again – this is one of my favourite Christmas images! This time, I’ve gone for a more traditional look using Papermania ‘At Christmas Time’ papers which I’ve matted onto Bazzill 'Brocade' card.

The sentiment is one of my favourites from the new Wild Rose Studio ‘Christmas Labels’ set which, again, I’ve matted onto Bazzill ‘Brocade’.

Recipe:
Embellishments:  Ranger Stickles – ‘gold’

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoy your day!

Skiing

I may possibly have mentioned (just once or twice) that I've found a fabulous Christmas paper pad where I love all of the papers, and there are none that will get left unloved at the end.  My project today features one of the papers from this pad in two different ways. It has a lovely silver mirror effect in a pretty snowflake pattern that drew so much attention when I used the paper, that for once I didn't want to hide it up or create more 'fuss' with lots of embellishments.

For my card, I layered a square panel of the paper onto a silver mirror panel and raised it up on foam pads onto another sheet from the pad on the base card.  I used a sweet Fizzy Moon stamp with another silver panel behind it to match the papers, and added a trio of silver rhinestones.

They don't come much more C&S than this :

I decided that the papers were so pretty that I'd try something else.

I'd bought a couple of large MDF baubles. They're quite large, about 16cm / 6.5 inches, tied on some rustic string.

I untied the string, and stuck some of the same paper that I'd used on the card onto the bauble, and cut around the shape.  as the MDF shape was over 6 inches, and my papers are only 6 inches, I used an off-cut from the patterned part at the top (where the string is attached).  I then re-punched the hole, threaded the string back through and re-tied it again.

I finished it off with some of the same gemstones that I used on the card.

Ok, I lied above when I said they didn't come much more C&S than my card, cos this is even less fussy!  :0)

Hope you like my duo of Christmassy projects today.

Annabelle Hanging Gifts

My card today features some gorgeous pink papers that I've been saving for a time when I needed to get myself motivated.  I've not been feeling very positive about some of my recent creations so needed a bit of a boost.  Well it seems that a pink and girlie card is just what I needed.  I'm really pleased with this one, probably because it uses lots of my favourite things: pink, glitter, ribbon, flowers, pearls and my favourite pearl brad.  Hopefully this is a turning point and I'll be back on track again!

I hope you like my creation.
