O Christmas Tree

Hello Kerry here showing you my latest DT creation.
I fell in love with this stamp set from wild rose studios as soon as I saw it. Great for those last minute xmas cards or batch making and so classy!

I decided to go a little less traditional with the colours and chose brown and ivory
I stamped the image and cut out by hand then simply added a few gems and some glamour dust before mounting on 3d foam for a little dimension.
I had stamped a few extra trees so I decided to make a simple matching tag :)

Ingredients
Glitter : Glamour dust Crystal

I hope you like my card today and thanks for stopping by

Saturday Afternoon at The Stamp Basket

Hello and welcome to The Stamp Basket blog! It's Janet here for the first of our 'Saturday Afternoon at The Stamp Basket' blogspots! It's been such a lovely sunny day here today and the countryside is so beautiful at the moment with all the richness of autumn - perfect inspiration for card making!

Today's card is called 'Finn whistling while he works' - I do so adore these Sarah Kay images from Stampavie and they are so easy to colour too! Isn’t Finn just the cutest?!

The gorgeous paper is My Minds Eye ‘A Beautiful Life’ - I just love the combo of the rich plums and petrol blues in this pad. The card is from a Craftwork Cards scalloped edge pack that we have in store at The Stamp Basket - these cards really come in handy when you're short on time! The sentiment, which is computer generated, is embellished with Berisfords 5mm brown gingham ribbon and May Arts natural button twine - this is a really inexpensive but effective way to enhance a birthday card for a man! Now as strange as it may seem, the grooved buttons are from the Summer Button Mix but I think they team perfectly with the petrol blue of these papers!

Here's a closer look at Finn whistling while he works, coloured with copic pens.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoy the rest of your Saturday!

Hugs,
Janet  xx

George Steals the Limelight!

Hello, this is Janet here with my first DT card for The Stamp Basket team...in fact, it's my first card ever to appear on Mr Blogger...so I feel more nervous than ever!! The stamps that I have chosen to use in my card are from the new Molly Blooms Christmas Collection. The image, which is called Naughty Nativity, did so make me chuckle when I first saw it and reminded me of Nativity plays past!

The sentiment, which is also from the new Molly Blooms Christmas Collection seemed so apt for this particular image! The paper is from the Papermania "At Christmas Time" pack - a fantastic collection of traditional Christmas papers which also includes 28 die-cut tags perfect for decorating cards or adding a special touch to Christmas gifts! The embellies include Dovecraft adhesive gemstones, natural burlap button twine, a button from the Christmas button mix, Berisfords red and white stitched grosgrain ribbon and the most gorgeous, moss green vintage style ribbon which, I have to say, folds beautifully into bows!

All of these products are available in our online store. If you've not had chance to visit us yet, why not pop across and have a look at what we have on sale!

Despite the rain this morning, I hope you have a lovely day!

Happy crafting,

Janet

Woohoo it's arrived....

...the first day of my DT post . I'm super excited to sharing with you my first project for
The Stamp Basket

For my card I used :
Image: Nellie Snellen "giving away" coloured with prisma color pencils
Backing papers: Papermania "at Christmas time"
Ribbon: Green Satin
Gems: Dovecraft adhesive Gemstones
And a smattering of my all time favourite yes Glamour dust of course! It's just not a Christmas card in my eyes unless it's been glamourised!

As it's was my first project I thought I would celebrate by making 2 cards
so I set to work on the leftovers from the first card.

All the ingredients are the same as above apart from the sentiment
which is from a wild rose studio set called " Christmas tree"

All the ingredients listed can be found over in The Stamp Basket Shop HERE along with oodles of other super delicious stash. Go on pop over and have a wander round...you know you want to!

Unfortunately the shop website is having some last minute technical issues (please see post below)
