Letters and Roses

It's Marianne here again with my third guest designer card.

I have used the gorgeous new Bildmalarna Letters and Roses stamp. The card blank is Craftwork Cards on the edge elegant one and I decide to try something different with this card. I wanted to show off the beautiful birds on the Prima Meadowlark paper so stuck part of a sheet direct to the card and then cut it out following the shape of the card. I then mounted the die cut image onto more of the same paper and added some cream vintage ribbon. After colouring the image I paper pieced her dress to match the backing paper.

The large Prima Meadowlark flowers match the papers so beautifully and I added some Hobby House pearls to the flowers and to her bouquet.

Sophia Wishes

Happy Easter Monday. I hope you are enjoying the long weekend. It's Marianne here with my second guest designer card. I was asked to choose two images from the new Sarah Kay stamps and what a job that was. They are so gorgeous. You can find the whole range here at the Stamp Basket.

I have used the gorgeous Sophia Wishes. I love the old fashioned look of these images and decided to colour her in brown tones to tie in with the beautiful Prima Nature Garden papers. I used Vintage Photo Distress Ink on the paper and image and also on the chalk white seam binding. This seam binding is lovely as it is but can also be coloured with alcohol pens or Distress Inks to match your project. The corners were made using a Memory Box Macarena Corner Die.

Thanks for looking and enjoy shopping at The Stamp Basket

Little Love Bear

Hi everyone. I hope you are having a lovely weekend, despite the change in the weather! I have a card to show you today with the cutest little bear ever…he definitely has the ‘aah’ factor! When I saw him, I just couldn’t resist inking him up! The stamp is from the Spring 2012 Stampavie range called ‘Little Love Bear’. Rather than making him into a smooth chocolate box bear, I wanted to give him a little bit of texture..so he's a little rustic bear with ‘tatty teddy’ appeal!

The papers are My Mind’s Eye ‘Dolled Up’ – I just love this pad…in fact, I love all of these MME Miss Caroline pads (I couldn’t decide which to use first!). I deliberately kept the embellishments very simple on this male card and tucked the sentiment tag behind the image.
Here's a close up of the image coloured with copics:

Floating Down The River

Hello everyone, I am Chris and will be Friday's guest designer for the next four weeks. I hope you will enjoy seeing my cards.

Today's card uses one of the new Stampavie stamps, Floating Down The River. I matched the colours with some of the gorgeous papers from the new Prima Meadowlark collection. The pretty scalloped card is Craftwork Cards.

I have used a Memory Box dragonfly on this card. There are two of dragonfly dies in the new collection and this is the smaller one. Other embellishments are a white ribbon and bow, snow white pearls and a blue Meadowlark flower. The quality of the pearls are superb and I am keen to try the other three colours available in the shop.

Annabelle's Meadow

Good morning everyone, Marianne here with my first guest designer card for April. I am so pleased to be here and to have been given the opportunity to work with these beautiful products.

My card today features one of the gorgeous Annabelle's Meadow panels from Wild Rose. I have teamed it with paper from the same range and used Tattered Rose Distress Ink around the edges of both to add to the soft look. I've topped it off with some blue sheer ribbon, Hobby House pearls, Prima flowers and a pearl brad. The scrolls behind the flower were made by die cutting using a Memory Box Macarena die and then cutting them in half. I've then finished with some die cut butterflies using another Memory Box die.

You can find all of these products including the Craftwork cards card blank at The Stamp Basket.

Keep checking back every day for more cards from the Design Team and it will be my pleasure to bring you another creation next Monday.

Kitty's Picnic

Hi everyone. I hope you are enjoying your weekend! I have a card to show you today, using an image from one of the Wild Rose Studio Printed Panel packs…definitely a great craft store cupboard stand-by for making those last minute cards!! This cute image is called Kitty’s Picnic and is one of the four designs (two of each printed panel plus four outlines) included in the pack...all I needed to do was add a bit of stickles glitz...and voila!

The paper that I have used is also from by the Wild Rose Studio Annabelle’s Meadow Collection and the sentiment is from the Wild Rose Studio Circle Greetings set.

I've had a lovely time playing with a range of dies on this card! The border is a Magnolia Doohickey ‘Sweet Lovely Lace’ which is on special offer this weekend. The cute little dragonfly is a Memory Box die called ‘Willow Dragonfly’...whilst I do like my butterfly dies, these dragonfly dies (Memory box have produced two of differing sizes with the new release) do add something a little bit different!

The sentiment frame has been made using the Whimsy ‘Elegant Notables 1’ die….and my two favourite dies of the moment (Memory Box Dancing Tulips and Tulip Petals) were used to create the flower and leaves. The Dancing Tulips die can be used independently, as Kerry did on her card earlier in the week, or teamed up with the Tulip Petals for a bigger bloom. Before I started, I wondered if it was going to be very fiddly sticking the four petal bits together, but I have to say, if you follow the four-staged picture on the packaging, it comes together very easily!

The pearls are from our new range by the Hobby House – if you’ve not had chance to check them out yet, do pop over to the store. We are trialling four colours at the moment – ivory, snow white, wedding day and liking lilac…so, please let us know what you think!

Papers: Wild Rose Studio Annabelle’s Meadow Printed Panels; Wild Rose Studio Annabelle’s Meadow 6 x 6 paper pack
Thanks for stopping by and I do hope you enjoy the rest of your day!
