Saturday Afternoon at The Stamp Basket...and some GDT news!

A warm welcome to the Stamp Basket! I have a card to show you today with a delicate floral theme and full of nostalgia! The image, ‘In the Meadow’, is one of the new stamps from the Wild Rose Studio ‘Annabelle’s Meadow’ Collection….I chose girly pinks from the co-ordinating range of floral papers…and punched the small flowers on the fence from the same paper.

Here’s a close up of the image coloured with copics.

The detail in these stamps actually makes the images very easy to colour and as always with Wild Rose Studio stamps, there is a ready coloured image with the packaging which provides an excellent template for shading, colour combos etc. But as I mentioned earlier in the week, the printed panel packs (the 4 stamp designs printed onto squares of 300gsm card) are excellent if you are short on time or don’t consider yourself to be a stamper…they're also, absolutely perfect, for groups of children to use to make quick and easy Mother’s Day cards!
The sentiment that I've used is from the new Wild Rose Studio ‘Circle Greeting’ set – a lovely, very useful range of sentiments for all occasions - which I’ve backed with a small scrap of paper from the Wild Rose Studio ‘Letters from Paris’ paper pack.

                                                   Card Recipe:

Stamp: Wild Rose Studio ‘In the Meadow’
Papers: Wild Rose Studio ‘Annabelle’s Meadow’ and ‘Letters from Paris’
Card:  Craftwork Cards – Straight-edge card
Embellishments: Dovecraft self-adhesive gemstones; Berisfords 15mm Super Sheer White Ribbon

…and now for news about the GDT call. Thank you so much to everyone who has responded to our guest designer call. We have been absolutely thrilled and honoured to hear from so many of you, and so pleased that you have expressed an interest in joining our DT. We have had a fabulous time visiting your blogs and have been very excited (and inspired) by the talent that we have seen! It is certainly not going to be easy to choose from all of your fabulous entries, so to help us in making a decision, we have so far, drawn up a (very long) short list!! We plan to re-visit the short listed blogs again this next week, and may be in contact with you, if there are questions that we might have about your entry, before making a final decision.
In the meantime, thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hugs,

Janet xx
