Mouse on Presents

Morning all! I hope your weekend has got off to a great start!

I have a gorgeous selection from the archives to show you today...and I've not had to dig too deep for this array of fabulous creations from our design team!

We have all had such a fun time in recent weeks working with the new Wild Rose Studio release of stamps, papers and dies that I thought I would share some cards with you today that can be made with just one stamp. So here is the adorable Bluebell with her friend, Mouse!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Squirrel on Branch

I've had a bit of a colour match frenzy today!  I made this card using a Wild Rose Studio image and the Antique Library paper pad, and then realised I didn't have a ribbon to match the papers, so I coloured some vintage style that was ivory with a pink marker to match the papers.

I've also used coffee coloured pearls, but the pearl in the brad holding on the bow was originally white, so I coloured that with a pale brown marker so that it matched too.  It just goes to show how versatile these basic items can be.

Almost Sepia Bella With Daisy

Good morning folks, and welcome to Wednesday - and yes, that means it is my DT day for The Stamp Basket blog.  For those of you developing an allergy to ellies, best you take an anti-histamine now, because here is another one, but a bit different!

The ingredients used for this card, which are available at The Stamp Basket store are:
Wild Rose Studio stamp -  Bella With Daisy
Wild Rose Studio papers - Antique Library
Painted with Ranger/Tim Holtz Distress Inks (ReInkers) and edges "aged" with Pads
Sentiment is Wild Rose Studio Birthday Greetings

And from my own stash Memento Espresso Truffle inkpad (halfway between black and brown)

That's me done, so I hope you like Bella today, and I shall see you next week.  My super-talented teamies, Debs and Annette, and of course Janet, will be here between times with loads more beautiful inspiration to share.

Hugs to all

Tilly with Present

I've not used this image for a while, but it is one I do love because I like Tilly's face peeking around the present!  It's safe to say it's well and truly purple, but I've used some white to break it up, with the die cut and lace.

The cream vintage style ribbon can be coloured with copics to make it any colour needed to match a colour scheme, and because it's a really soft fabric, it makes a lovely double bow without too much bulk.

Bluebell with Hedgehog

After some procrastination on layout, (which probably ended up with me reverting back to the first option I tried), I was actually quite pleased with this card.  I think I'm getting into the softer, rather than bold, colours and the papers were the inspiration for the colours in the image.  I left the die cuts white to keep the embellishments pale, and added ivory pearls.  Oh, and a smidge of glossy accents.

With a Heart

Hi all,

I hope you are having a lovely relaxing weekend!

Our theme from the archives today is....

   WITH A HEART

It seems such an appropriate theme with the devastating news that there has been for a large number of families this week across the globe. My heart has gone out to people as I have watched and listened to stories of loss, one after another, and it has been heart warming to see the love and support that has been shown in abundance to families.

So, if you believe, like Stephen Sutton did, that life isn't measured in time but by the difference that we make, then w
hy not make an extra 'crafty' project this week that you can sell for charity? Here's a few ideas which we hope will inspire you...and don't forget with our clearance sale, you'll be able to purchase your products much more cheaply to ensure that you keep your fund raising costs down, so that every penny counts!

Hoping you have a lovely weekend!

Hugs,

Bella with Flowers

Inspired by the softly coloured papers, I've tried a bit of a new colouring technique, where I've used a really light touch with my markers, trying to create some really soft shading.  Bella's turned out a bit more pale than I'd originally intended, but I do quite like the flowers.

Bella Carrying A Pile of Presents

I'm here today to share one of my most favourite Bella stamps with you.  You could use this little cutie for any occasion that involves gifts - she could be coloured for birthday or Christmas, but for this one I have gone for a candy coloured girlie birthday

Isn't she sweet?

All of the above ingredients are available from The Stamp Basket store

I thought I would be clever with the circles and make a false aperture but I might as well have just layered there up in the end!
I fussy cut Bella to lay over the circles as I didn't want a lot of white around her.
Greeting is a Whimsy from my stash of sentiment stamps

Hugs all

The papers are Papermania ‘At Christmas Time’ which is such a versatile pack…a range of both contemporary and traditional designs…and great value for money!

Timeless Thanks

Morning all!
I have a thank you card to show you today that is a little different to my usual cards.

The card base has been cut from Neenah Classic Crest cardstock using one of the Spellbinders 'Timeless Rectangles' dies. The image is Memory Box ‘Whisper Print Geranium’ which I coloured (on the stamp) using Marvy Le Plume pens and then spritzed with water before stamping onto Neehah Classic Crest Card. I then added a Memory Box 'A Little Thanks' die cut which I coloured with copics, a few pearls and some ribbon.

Hope you have a great day!
